about the Friday Night Social The Friday night all-you-can-eat BBQ is at the old "Rawai Mini Golf" now called the "Mammas & Pappas" (Richard and Megumi do NOT own this restaurant.) in a rural jungle community in the extreme South of Phuket Island and this Western style BBQ dinner is offered only on Fridays for only 150 Baht. This restaurant, bar and small mini golf for the kids is in the middle of nowhere and so busy you have to reserve your spaces early the day before since they only hold this BBQ on Friday nights. When we confirm the reservations at 5:00 PM the day before we work out the transfer routes with guests sharing cars and it costs 150 per person for the return trip each unless you are staying outside the transfer zone. ("Additional cost" for whom staying at Merlin Beach:100 Baht, Kalim:150 Baht, Kamala:200 Baht, Surin:250 Baht, Laguna:300 Baht per person , minimum 2 persons.). . The restaurant and drivers charge per person and there are no discounts for children or for larger groups. Dinner begins at 6:00 PM(transfer begins around 5:00 PM, depend on where you will be staying at.) and afterwards at 7:30 PM the drivers return to the restaurant and transport us farther South of the Island down to the "Sunshine Bar" on Rawai Beach for some good music and great improvised entertainment around the "Dreaded Pole"! Because of families and many others who have tours or activities planed for the next day the return transfers to your hotels are arranged for 10:00 PM. We are sorry but we no longer accept reservations for persons who are arriving in Phuket the same day as the social or from those who have scheduled other tours on the same day since the transfer times begin in Patong at 5:00 PM. We do not recommend this evening for children 4 years old or younger because no special arrangements are available for guests who choose to leave earlier then the regular scheduled departure time. To make a booking we must receive a completed reservation form below from you in advance. You must call us to confirm with your room number once you are in Phuket for contact/transfer purposes a minimum of 24 hours before the pick up time on Friday. We now remove / cancel guest's names from the list if they do not contact us before the deadline that we have to make the reservations at the restaurant at 5:00 PM on Thursday and it is too late for us to organize additional transfers the day of the social while we are at work on the dive boats or doing tours. Please do not e-mail us if you are already in Phuket as it can sometimes be days before we have time out from our daily tours, activities and diving to be present at the main office and respond to mails! Contact us directly via telephone from your hotel and all of our contact info is on the bottom of our mails including my local mobile number. Our working hours are from 6:00 AM until 6:00 PM 7 days a week and after our 12 hour work day at 6:00 PM we now turn off our mobile phones. At last, this is a social event we, Richard & Megumi organize, not a business for all of you to have a great time. Please make sure that all of your families & friends are informed above detail information, so there is "NO" misunderstanding. Your cooperation will be very much appreciated.
